The Town Clerk’s Office is the officially designated record keeping agency for the Town and is responsible for all public documents, both current and archival; accounts payable and accounts receivable, prepares agenda, attends, and records the proceedings of all Council meetings; maintains records of all rules, ordinances, and resolutions of the Council; acts as custodian of the Town Seal; conducts all municipal elections; performs all legal advertising for the Town, schedules, coordinates, and plans special events and functions for the Council; billing for yearly business licenses and provides general administrative and clerical assistance to the Council.  The clerk’s office is responsible for all recording keeping and billing for the Town of New Site Water System.  The clerk’s office is a collection office for two utility companies that serve our community and surrounding area.  Tallapoosa River Electric Cooperative (TREC) and East Central Alabama Gas District utility payments are taken at the clerk’s office during regular office hours.  New accounts can be opened for both electric and gas customers at the clerk’s office.

Thank you for visiting the New Site Police Department’s web site.  I was appointed Chief of Police in October 1999 and look forward to continue working for the citizens of New Site. 

The New Site Police Department is a small department, but committed to providing services to our residents as quickly as possible.  Although we are limited, we will make every effort to do our very best to keep this community a safe place to live and raise a family.

The Water Department repairs all leaks and breaks, install new water mains and water services, replaces old or damaged water meters and reads each water meter monthly for billing.

If you have a break on your side of the meter, cut off the flow water at the meter and call a plumber.  The Town’s Water Department is not authorized to go past the meter for repairs.
